Traveling Theatre started out in 2003 with only its after school programs, providing arts enrichment workshops in public schools throughout Rhode Island. It soon added a camp to offer similar programs during the summer and continued to grow from there.
In recent years, Traveling Theatre has created several youth development training programs and employed AmeriCorps members who serve as teaching artists. Finally, the organization recently launched Imagine Productions, a community theatre company that has been a goal of Traveling Theatre since its inception.
